RuPay Credit Card on UPI Linkage and Activate Cashback Offer – T&C and FAQ

Terms and Conditions for Cashback 

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) shall be applicable to a RuPay Credit Cardholder, for participating in this cashback offer (“Offer”) provided by National Payments Corporation of India (“NPCI”). Any RuPay Credit Cardholder participating in the Offer shall be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these Terms, and these Terms shall be in addition to and not in derogation of other applicable terms and conditions applicable on the RuPay Credit Cardholder and/or such other terms and conditions as may be specified by NPCI with respect to its products/services i.e., RuPay Cards and Unified Payments Interface (“UPI”).

1. Offer Overview

  • This Offer is provided by NPCI, for its product ‘RuPay’ - a card scheme, in collaboration with all issuer/member banks of ‘RuPay’ who are authorized and licensed by NPCI to issue RuPay Credit Cards (“Issuing Banks”).
  • For the purpose of these Terms, an ‘Eligible Transaction’ shall mean a set of two or more transactions where each transaction amount is equal to or greater than Rs. 250, made by the RuPay Credit Cardholder pursuant to linking their RuPay Credit Card on UPI (“RUPAY CREDIT CARD on UPI”) during the Offer Period (defined below).
  • Under this Offer, eligible cardholders will receive a flat cashback of INR 250 upon making the Eligible Transaction, through RuPay Credit Card on UPI during the Offer Period, subject to these Terms.

2. Offer Period

  • The Offer shall be valid from 7th January, 2026 to 31st March, 2026 (“Offer Period”).  
  • NPCI reserves the right to modify the Offer Period and modify, extend, suspend, or withdraw the Offer, in whole or in part, at any time, including before the end of the Offer Period, without prior notice, solely at NPCI’s sole discretion.

3. Eligibility of the RuPay cardholder for receiving cashback

  • The Offer is applicable only to resident Indian RuPay Cardholders holding a valid, active, non-hotlisted RuPay Credit Card issued by any Issuing Bank.
  • The Offer is applicable per RuPay Credit Card. An individual to whom multiple RuPay Credit Cards are issued by different Issuing Banks may be eligible for the Offer separately on each eligible RuPay Credit Card on UPI transaction.
  • RuPay commercial cards and/or corporate cards are not eligible for this Offer.
  • To qualify as a RuPay Credit Cardholder for this Offer:
    • The RuPay cardholder must not have made any transaction using their RuPay Card between 1st January 2025 - 31st December, 2025; and
    • The RuPay cardholder must complete their first eligible RuPay Credit Card on UPI transaction during the Offer Period.
    • Newly issued RuPay Credit Cards will be eligible for the cashback if they make the Eligible Transactions during the Offer Period.

4. Details of Eligible Transaction

  • To qualify for the cashback in the Offer
    • The RuPay Credit Card on UPI transaction must be an Eligible Transaction
    • The Eligible Transaction must be a successful transaction.
  • Only such RuPay Credit Card on UPI transaction, which are determined by NPCI as Eligible Transactions, shall qualify under this Offer.
  • Failed, reversed, cancelled, disputed, or refunded transactions shall not be considered for eligibility.

5. Cashback details

  • RuPay cardholders eligible for this the cashback, as determined by NPCI in its sole discretion, will receive a flat cashback of Rs. 250 per eligible RuPay Credit Card.
  • The cashback of Rs. 250 shall be credited to the same credit card account used for the eligible RuPay Credit Card on UPI transaction by the Issuing Bank of such RuPay Credit Card.
  • Cashback shall be credited within 60 days from the date of the eligible transaction month by the Issuing Bank of such RuPay Credit Card, which was used to make the RUPAY CREDIT CARD on UPI transaction (For eg. any purchases done on 20th Jan’26, the reward will be credited within 60 days of the transaction eligible month which is 31st Mar’26).
  • No interest, compensation, or alternative benefit shall be payable if there is any delay in crediting the cashback or if NPCI decides in its sole discretion to revoke the Offer during the Offer Period.

6. Grievance redressal

  • Issuing Banks shall be the primary point of contact for RuPay cardholders communication relating to RuPay Credit Card on UPI or any other transaction’s status, cashback’s credit status; and bank or credit account-related queries.
  • NPCI shall be responsible for resolution of Offer-related grievances in accordance with applicable laws.

7. General Conditions

  • The Offer cannot be exchanged for cash; transferred or assigned; or clubbed with any other offer provided by NPCI or the Issuing Banks.
  • NPCI shall not be responsible for any technical failure while processing the RuPay Credit Card on UPI transaction; transaction processing issues at merchant or Issuing Bank’s end; or delays or failures caused by Issuing Banks or any other third-party.
  • NPCI’s decision on eligibility, cashback computation, and Offer Period and validity shall be final and binding on the RuPay Cardholders and Issuing Banks.
  • NPCI reserves the right to disqualify any individual/ RuPay cardholder from this Offer, if any fraudulent activity is identified by NPCI or Issuing Bank.
  • By participating in this Offer, customer/individual/RuPay cardholder agrees that NPCI or/and Issuing Banks will not be held liable or responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever incurred to such customer/individual/RuPay cardholder in connection with the Offer.
  • Successful participation or an attempt to participate in the Offer constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and competent courts of Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.

Bank’s Generic Terms & Conditions:

  • Campaign offer (“Program”) is open to Selected Credit Cardholders of IndusInd Bank Limited (“IndusInd Bank”/ Bank”), who have a valid and open IndusInd Bank Rupay Credit Card and who have received communication regarding the offer (“Eligible Cardholders” and “Eligible Card Account”) 
  • This Program is only valid for transactions done and settled between Offer Validity date mentioned in the communication. Here, “settled” means, transactions which are successfully posted to bank server. If for any transaction for which settlement is done at a later date (outside offer period) due to delayed settlement by merchant or what so ever reason, bank will not be obliged to pay any benefit and the same transaction will not be counted as eligible spend 
  • For the purpose of this Program, spends would mean IndusInd Bank Rupay Credit Card on UPI transactions alone  
  • Cash Withdrawals, Fees, Interest Charges, and any other charges, EMI, Loan taken on the Credit Card and any transaction other than a Purchase Transaction will not be considered for the purpose of calculating achievement towards the Spend Levels 
  • Spends made using Add-on cards will accrue in the account of the Primary Cardholder under this Program 
  • Purchase Reversal Transaction Amount posted on Cardholder’s Card Account during the Program Period + 7 (Seven) Calendar Days will be deducted from the eligible Spends for the Purpose of calculating Spends Achievement irrespective of whether the Original Transaction corresponding to this Reversal was done during the Program Period or before the Program Period 
  • To be eligible for participating in the Program, the Cardholder must maintain a clean payment record in respect of his/her Card; i.e. the Cardholder should not have failed to pay the minimum amount due on his/her Card during the Offer Period or at the time of evaluation of the winners 
  • In case a Cardholder, is holding two or more Eligible Credit Cards from IndusInd Bank, the Spends done on one Card account will not be added/clubbed with Spends done on the other Card account. Each Credit Card account will be considered separately 
  • IndusInd Bank shall not be liable or responsible for non-receipt or delivery of any SMS/other communication relating to this Program due to any reason beyond the control of IndusInd Bank. IndusInd Bank reserves the right to modify/amend any communication/SMS related to the Program at any later date during the Program Period 
  • All applicable taxes, duties, levies of whatsoever nature in connection with the Program shall be borne solely by the Cardholder 
  • The participation in the Program shall constitute deemed acceptance by the Card member of all the terms and conditions governing the Program 
  • The Bank at its sole discretion can decide Cardholders who can avail this Program. Delinquent Credit Card members will not be eligible for the benefits of this offer. "Delinquent Credit Card Account" means an account of a Cardholder which has outstanding which is past due or which, in the sole opinion of the Bank, has unsatisfactory credit standing. Cardholders, whose Credit Card accounts are currently delinquent or become delinquent at any time before the Fulfillment Date, will be ineligible for the benefits of this Program 
  • If the Cardholder ceases to be a Cardholder at any time during the Program Period or before the Fulfillment Date, all benefits under the Program shall lapse. This includes any relationship terminated either by the Bank or the Cardholder 
  • Upon meeting the Qualification Criterion, the Cardholder will Cashback as per the Email / SMS / RCS / WhatsApp communication received 
  • Credit Card usage is for personal use only. In case the Bank notices unusual and abnormal transaction patterns in the use of the Card, the Bank will try to establish contact with the customer on the registered phone number of the customer available on its records to verify the bonafideness of the card transaction 
  • Failure on the part of the Bank to establish contact with the customer, the Bank may restrict/terminate the use of the Card without any further notice, and the benefit of this program may be withdrawn 
  • In all matters relating to the Program, the decision of IndusInd Bank shall be final and binding in all respects 
  • The Bank reserves the right at any time without prior notice to add, alter, modify, all or any of these terms and conditions or replace, wholly or in part, this Program by any other Program, whether similar or different to this Program or to withdraw it altogether without giving prior notice 
  • The terms and conditions of the Program shall be in addition to and not in substitution/derogation to the Primary Terms and Conditions governing the Card and shall at all times be read along with the terms of the Cardholders’ Agreement and such other terms and conditions that the Bank may deem appropriate in its sole discretion. Any irreconcilable contradiction between the terms and conditions contained herein and the Cardholders’ Agreement, then the terms of the Cardholders’ Agreement to prevail the present conditions 
  • In case the Cardholder has any issues/disputes regarding the Offer, he/she must raise his or her concerns before 3 months of the offer end date
