Tax Collected at Source (TCS) on Liberalized Remittance Scheme (LRS) Transactions

TCS is applicable on transactions under Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS). TCS on LRS transaction was introduced in Finance Bill 2020, effective 1^st October 2020. It is not an additional tax but an advance tax payment that can be adjusted against the final tax liability.
