Mr. Saurav Saha is a seasoned Chief Risk Officer and Senior Credit risk leader with over 25 years of experience in Indian and international banking, spanning leading institutions including HDFC Bank, HSBC Bank, Saudi Awwal Bank, ABN AMRO Bank, and CRISIL.
He has extensive board-level engagement experience, having served as a Non‑Executive Director on the Board of HSBC InvestDirect Financial Services (India) Limited, and through regular presentations and interactions with the HDFC Bank and Saudi Awwal Bank Boards on portfolio performance, risk appetite statements, and credit and risk governance frameworks.
Saurav brings strong and trusted domain expertise in credit risk management, with over two decades of hands‑on experience in evaluating and approving complex credit transactions, including structured finance, project finance, corporate and commercial credit, trade finance, and treasury‑related exposures, across India and international markets.
He also brings significant entrepreneurial experience, having established and scaled HSBC’s offshore Credit Centre of Excellence, building and leading cross‑functional wholesale and retail credit teams across multiple geographies.
His academic qualifications comprise a postgraduate diploma in management (Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, India) and a bachelor of technology (electronics and communication engineering).
