Credit Guarantee Scheme for Exporters (CGSE) launched by the Government of India and managed by the National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company Ltd. (NCGTC) provides guarantee coverage on additional credit facilities extended to eligible exporters, including MSMEs, to support their working capital requirements.

Quantum of Support

Direct exporters: Up to 20% of sanctioned export working capital limits (fund-based and non-fund-based)

Indirect exporters: Up to 20% of sanctioned domestic working capital limits (fund-based and non-fund-based)

• Maximum Loan Amount: ₹50 crore per borrower
• Tenor: 4 years (including 1-year moratorium), repayable in equal monthly installments
• Guarantee Cover: 100% of the sanctioned facility
• Interest Rate: 1% below the existing working capital facility rate, capped at 10% p.a. for banks
• Processing Fee: Nil
• Validity: Available until guarantees totalling ₹20,000 crore are issued or 31.03.2026, whichever is earlier
• Lock-in Period: 6 months from commencement of guarantee cover.

Direct Exporters:

• MSMEs with export turnover (US Exports in eligible sectors) comprising at least 5% of annual sales
• Non-MSMEs with export turnover (US Exports in eligible sectors) comprising at least 20% of annual sales

Indirect Exporters:

• MSMEs supplying at least 30% of turnover to eligible direct exporters.

Other Conditions:

• Criteria to be met in either FY24 or FY25
• MSMEs must have a valid Udyam Registration Number
• Borrower account must be Standard (not NPA) on the sanction/disbursement date
