Nitika

Nikita has already a quite commendable medals tally at such a young age. Competing primarily in the 62 kg category, she has ample of potential to be one of India's best wrestlers in the coming years. Nitika is the oldest of two children in her family, which hails from Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri and moved to Delhi before she was born. She started practising 7 years ago. Her father used to wake her up early in the morning and make her run. One day, he took her to the Najafgarh stadium, and she just started training even without knowing where this would lead to. Her father was a wrestler too. It is in her family. She went on to win the bronze medal in the Under-23 category at the Asian Wrestling Championships in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
