Requirement to furnish Permanent Account Number (PAN)- |

| a. |
Under section 206AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961, w.e.f. 1 st April, 2010, non-furnishing of PAN to deductor (i.e. to the bank) would result in deduction of TDS at a higher rate of 20%. Declaration in 15G/ 15H under section 197A for non-deduction of TDS shall be invalid if it does not contain PAN and bank shall proceed with deduction of TDS at a higher rate as mentioned above. |

In view of above amendments, it would be in the best interest of customers to furnish the photocopy of PAN card (if not submitted earlier) to the branch where Fixed Deposit Account is maintained. |

The 'Detailed Portfolio' section within your e-statement provides you information on all types of accounts held with us, viz-Savings, Current, Fixed/ Term Deposits and Loans. Please note that only such account where the combination of account holders is the same are listed in 'Detailed Portfolio' section.
For example- Jointly held accounts will not show along with your singly held account. |
